Bonorowo Wetlands 1: 1-7. This experiment has been done in rice field land of Siliran V Hamlet, Karangsewu Village, Galur Subdistrict, Kulonprogo District, Yogyakarta. The study was started from April 2007 to August 2007, and this experiment aimed to know the effect of K fertilizer dan zeolite application on the sandy soil of the south coastal, area of Kulonprogo. Therefore they have 10 treatment combinations. The result was shown that application of K fertilizer and zeolite were given significant effect on chemical and fertility soil properties. Which were soil pH, CEC, K total, K available nutrient, and K uptake by the plant. There is no significant effect on the interaction of potassium and zeolite application. The increase of K fertilizer was given high significance to K uptake when zeolite application was given. The significant effect also to the improving soil chemical properties. Whereas, increasing of K fertilizer and zeolite application were not given significant effect on the dry matter yield (biomass).
