Aims and Scope Asian Journal of Ethnobiology (Asian J Ethnobiol) encourages submission of manuscripts dealing with relationships between humans and their biological nature, including ethnobotany, ethnomycology, ethnozymology, ethnozoology, ethnoecology, traditional environmental/ ecological knowledge, ethnometereology, ethnoastronomy, ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacognosy, ethnoveterinary, ethnogastronomy, urban ethnobiology, linguistic ethnobiology, ethical and legal aspects of the biodiversity conservation and other related fields of study within anthropology and biology; as well as impact of economic activity on individuals in community and its social consequences.
Article types The journal seeks for: (i) Research papers, (ii) Reviews, and (iii) Short communications. Original full-length research manuscripts are limited to 8,000 words (including tables and figures) or proportional to articles in this publication number (beyond that, it should be with notice). Review articles are also limited to 8,000 words, while Short communications should be less than 2,500 words, except for pre-study (can be more).
Indexing The journal has been indexed/registered in Crossref, Google Scholar, Scopus (Q2). Papers published from 2021 are indexed by Scopus, see here for the Source.
Open access The journal is committed to free-open access. The license type is CC-BY-NC-SA.
Charges Authors are charged USD 300 (IDR 4,500,000). Additional charges may be billed for language improvement of accepted paper, USD 75-150 (IDR 1,000,000-2,000,000).
