Abstract

Abstract. Wiyaniningtiyah AA, Setyobudiandi I, Taurusman AA. 2014. Connectivity of macrozoobenthos community structure along a gradient of mangroves, seagrass, and reef crest habitats in Kelapa Dua Island, Seribu Islands, Jakarta. Bonorowo Wetlands 4: 37-48. Macrozoobenthos is a fauna invertebrate benthic organism by sieving with a size of 0,5 mm. The aim of this research is to connectivity the macrozoobenthos community structure along a gradient of mangroves, seagrass, and reef crest habitat in Kelapa Dua Island. Habitat conditions were taken into account for sampling strategy. Benthic fauna samples were taken using a corer. The community structure of macrozoobenthos is indicated by the parameter of several species, abundance, and biomass (SAB). Analysis of the SAB parameter similarity was mainly used to evaluate the connectivity of the three main coastal habitats. The highest number of species and macrozoobenthos biomass was found in the seagrass habitat, while the most abundance was in the reef crest habitat. The most abundant and biomass species that mainly contribute to habitat connectivity were Syllis sp. and Paraonis sp. The analysis showed that seagrass habitat was closely connected with reef crest.
