Abstract. Mustika DI, Rusdiana O, Sukendro A. 2014. The development of Rhizophora apiculata at mangrove nursery of Muara Teluk Naga Village, Tangerang District, Banten. Bonorowo Wetlands 4: 108-116. Rhizophora apiculata Blume. is one of the most important species in the mangrove forest and is often used for forest rehabilitation, particularly at Muara Teluk Naga Village, Tangerang District. The aims of this research were to obtain information about R. apiculata to find the appropriate cultivation method with a completely random system. Two treatments were used in the nursery, i.e., propagule with pieces of fruit and propagule without pieces of fruit. Therefore, planting used two treatments, i.e., planting with polybag and direct seeding. This experiment showed that the germination value of propagule with pieces of fruit was higher (74.4%) than propagule without pieces of fruit (59.6%). The signification differences of nursery treatment in R. apiculata only showed growth parameters but the other parameter not. The different treatment planting affects growth parameters.
