Abstract
Danial D, Sulhan. 2017. Performance phenotype new superior varieties (VUB) inbred swamp rice (Inpara 2) in East Kalimantan. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 3: 169-174. One of the technological components that are important in increasing rice production and farm income is varieties. In the period of 2006-2009, The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development has released 26 superior rice varieties. The superior rice varieties were released for developed in wetland (Inpari), swampy land (Inpara) and dry land (Inpago). One of the superior varieties that have been grown in East Kalimantan is Inpara 2. Inpara 2 has the potential of yield reached 6.08 t/ha with the resistance to pests, that is somewhat resistant to brown planthopper biotype 2, and the resistance to diseases including resistant to leaf blight pathotype III and resistant to blast. In addition, these varieties are also tolerant to abiotic stress, which are tolerant to poisoning Fe and Al. Planting Inpara 2 is recommended to be conducted in lowland swamp and tidal marsh areas. Planting Inpara 2 had been carried out in Sidomulyo Village, Kutai Kartanegara District, East Kalimantan Province. The purpose of this research was to get the phenotype performance of Inpara 2 variety in East Kalimantan. Planting is conducted by farmers of rice breeder for 2 (two) cropping season. The results showed the phenotypic performance of plant height by an average of 110.33 cm, productive tiller 17 tillers/hill, panicle length 25 cm, the number of grain 189.77 grains/panicle, weight of 1000 full grains 25.13 grams,
and the average results 4.43 t/ha.
