Status area of Mount Tambora turned into a national park on April 7, 2015. The previous studies are the basis for this status change. Further studies in the area is very interesting and important thing to do, after its 200 years eruption. Mount Tambora was recorded as the largest eruption in history. Exploration flora in Mount Tambora conducted by the Research Center for Biology LIPI through Kawinda Toi gate, located in the northern part of the region. The method used is exploring, following the existing path. Plant specimens collected preferably in a state of flowering and/or fruiting. This exploration has been collected 437 herbarium specimens consisting of a complete specimen and specimen voucher. Based on the the identification process, there are 207 higher plants has been recorded and 56 ferns found in the area of Mount Tambora. This exploration results is additional data to complement the previous data of plant diversity.
