Abstract

Rokhmani, Riwidiharso E, Setyawati EA, Darsono, Wahyono DJ. 2017. Morphometric and intensity variations of Trichodina sp. protozoa on gourami fish fry belongs to the fish-farmers of Bantul, Yogyakarta. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 3: 220-223. Centers for gourami fish fry have always been increasing their productions yearly. The activity of fish cultivation includes environmental manipulation and modification, bio-reproduction, density, feed and health management. The present of fish disease is a biological risk which must be anticipated by the fish-farmers. The parasitical disease is known to be one of the main cause of high gourami fish-fry mortality in fish fry industries. For example, Trichodina sp. protozoa are known to cause the death of 80% fish fry. This research was aimed to know morphometric variations and intensity of Trichodina sp. protozoa toward gourami fish fries belong to Bantulnese fishfarmers in Yogyakarta. This study which based on its sampling of morphometric variations in Bantul, Yogyakarta noted among those Trichodina sp. were Trichodina nobilis, Trichodina pediculus, Trichodina acuta, and Trichodina heterodentata. The prevalence and intensity of this protozoan were 100% and 25.5.
