Abstract

Badriyah IN, Taryono, Murti RH. 2015. The performance of sugar yield dan grain yield some sweet sorghum cultivars in the three dry land of Pekalongan and Batang, Central Java. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1: 809-813. Sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) has a high potential to grow and develop in Indonesia due to broad adaptability and high productivity. The aim of this study was to know the effect of interaction between genotype and environment for seven sweet sorghum cultivars that were planted in the three dry land i.e., Kajen in Pekalongan District, Subah, and Batang in Batang District, Central Java. The PC1 score showed that G1, G2 and G3 had a high sugar yield, while G4, G5 and G6 had a high grain yield. For sugar yield, G1, G2 and G3 had a positive interaction with first location (Kajen) and third location (Batang). But for grain yield, G4, G5 and G6 showed negative interaction with all locations. Which-won-where graph of GGE biplot analysis showed that G1 had the highest sugar yield in Pekalongan and G3 in Batang. The different result for the highest grain yield was G2 in Pekalongan and Subah, and G4 in Batang. The genotype distribution as shown in GGE biplot graph showed unlocalized spreading. It meant that the sweet sorghum cultivars that were used in this study had different genotype.
