Abstract
Afiati F, Yulnawati, Riyadi M, Arifiantini RI. 2015. Spermatozoa abnormality with different semen collection frequency in ram. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1: 930-934. The objective of this research was to get representation of spermatozoa abnormality level from two types of ram that collected in different frequency, namely Garut and Priangan rams. Ejaculate was collected once or twice in a week using artificial vagina. The result showed that spermatozoa classification with major and minor abnormalities had been found. There was a significant difference (P<0.05) in microphalus abnormality of Garut ram (0.09%) and Priangan ram (0.88%) in one time collection. Nuclear vacuolus abnormality of Priangan ram (1.33%) had a significant difference (P<0.05) compared to Garut ram (0.02%) in the same collection frequency. It could be concluded that spermatozoa abnormality level of Garut ram was smaller then Priangan ram, whether once or twice collected in a week.
