Distribution of Java endemic Syzygium

Syzygium is one of the genera of the family Myrtaceae that has the highest number of species in Indonesia. This genus has a significant economic value both as producer of fruit, wood, as well as the source of drug material. The total number Syzygium species in Java is 60. 9 species among of them are endemic. The endemic species are mostly found in West Java (7 species), 2 species in Central Java and one species in East Java.
