Butterflies (Lepidoptera) are part of biodiversity that should be conserved. Ecologically butterfly contribute to maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and enrich biodiversity of nature. Butterflies act as pollinators in the pollination of flowers that naturally help the propagation of plants in an ecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of butterflies (Lepidoptera). Butterfly collection using sweeping method was applied randomly in four areas of Wana Wisata Alas Bromo, Karanganyar, Central Java. Based on the results of study, found 15 species belonging to four families, namely Nymphalidae, Papilionidae, Pieridae and Lycaenidae. Of the 15 species, there was always found four species in the four sampling areas, namely Troides helena, Mucalesis mineus, Euploea mulciber, and Jamides alecto.
