The era of globalization and the free market will create conditions increasingly fierce market competition. Therefore, if the development of orange that has been and will be made not followed by the application of good farming technologies, the effort will be in vain because the fruit produced can not compete with the production of other countries that at this moment in its existence has been able to find the traditional market. The purpose of this study was to provide information regarding the cultivation technology improvement of Borneo Prima orange and its farming analysis. The research carried out in Tubaan Village, Tabalar Sub-District, Berau District, East Kalimantan Province in 2012. The type of data used was literature study and field study, then described and analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the proper cultivation technology improvement increased oranges productivity annually. Overall in 2012, the production of orange fruit in Berau was 478 tons and in 2013 increased to 1,768 tons. While the increase in farmers' income through improved technology gain was Rp. 4.305.650,- or the value of R/C ratio of 1.53. Application of technological improvements of orange cultivation in Berau District provided added value and competitiveness of horticultural commodities orange in East Kalimantan.
