This study aimed to obtain information on the levels of arthropod biodiversity in oil palm plantations in Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra Province. The community of Dharmasraya District average developing oil palm cultivation is still limited in smallholder agriculture. This is done in order to determine the level of arthropod diversity around palm plantations cultivated. This study was conducted in Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra in August-September 2015. The research was conducted in three sub-districts, i.e. Timpeh, Koto Besar, and Asam Jujuhan, through an observation approach with a direct observation in the field, then taken to the laboratory for selected and identified. From the results, it showed that the level of arthropod diversity in oil palm plantations in Dharmasraya District was relatively low. Meanwhile, the arthropods obtained were 11 families with the highest number of individuals was dominated by Timpeh Sub-district, followed by Asam Jujuhan and Koto Besar Sub-district. Families identified included Formicidae, Acrididae, Lycosidae, Scarabaeidae, Gryllotalphidae, Sphecidae, Chalcididae, Acarina, Tettigonidae, Braconidae and Vespidae.
