Aranio and Tiwingan Lama are the centers of Tilapia minapolitan area in Aranio subdistrict. Both of those villages have more than 1000 floated-cage net (KJA). Currently, most Tilapia dead in the juvenile phase, less than 10 cm in length. This study aims to explain the cause of an outbreak of Tilapia death in KJA, specifically in Aranio and Tiwingan Lama. The experiment used purposive sampling to measure the water quality in two stations and conducting an interview to fisherman regarding the Tilapia death. Water quality measurement includes ammonia content, pH, BOD, COD, and OD level. The result showed that ammonia content is a range of 0.8-1.8 mg/L. That content level is higher than the standard of PP No 82 Tahun 2004, i.e. 0.02 mg/L. Water pH, BOD, COD, and OD level are still lower than standard of PP No 82 year 2001 for the fishery, i.e., 7.22-7.30, 0.5-1.40, 13.1-15.3, and 6.10-7.70. The interview result showed that Tilapia detah caused by the low of juvenile quality due to there is no certification of fish.
