Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 3: 461-465. Seblat Bukit forest, which is a part of Seblat Mountain, belongs to the Kerinci Seblat National Park. Administratively, Bukit Seblat forest is directly adjacent to Seblat Ulu Village, Pinang Belapis Sub-district, Lebong District, Bengkulu Province. The area is dominated by natural forest whose the plant diversity is still high. It is recorded as many as 48 families of plants that can be found in the area. However, because it is directly adjacent to the settlements, it is inevitable that the diversity of plants in Bukit Seblat forest is threatened. Some locations are beginning to appear open related to the population activities, whether for coffee field, rice field, or other activities. The purpose of this research was to determine the diversity of species of tree seedling and their population that compose the ground vegetation in Bukit Seblat forest area. Data collection method was conducted by using plot 2 (5x1) m2. Plot placement was randomly dispersed in open forest and the area that was still covered by natural forest. From the research results, it was known that the plants in open area was as many as 48 species, more than in a closed area of 43 species. Plants in the open area were dominated by Calophyllum inophyllum L. with INP of 15.51% and for plants in closed areas were dominated by Argostemma involucratum Hemsl. with INP of 22.56%.
