Abstract. Khariri. 2019. Survei keanekaragaman tikus sebagai hewan pembawa bakteri Leptospira di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 42-45. Leptospirosis is caused by Leptospira bacteria which spread through the urine or blood of infected animals. One animal that can act as a reservoir is a mouse. Disease spread through domestic mice is very likely to occur in humans. Examination of rats was carried out to determine the type of mouse that became the carrier of Leptospira bacteria Analysis was carried out on data from the report of the results of the Special Research on Vector and Reservoir Disease (Rikhus Vektora) in 2015 in Central Java Province. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Mice were collected from Pekalongan, Purworejo and Pati. MAT examination of 61 ind. from Pekalongan was positive Rattus tanezumi (1 ind.) while the PCR test for 55 ind. was positive R. tanezumi (4 ind.), R. norvegicus (3 ind.) and R. argentiventer (1 ind.). MAT examination of 92 ind. from Purworejo resulted in positive species of R. tanezumi (1 ind.) while PCR test on 71 ind. was positive for R. tanezumi (1 ind.) and R. tiomanicus (3 ind.). MAT examination of 74 ind. from Pati resulted positive Maxomys surifer (1 ind.), R. argentiventer (1 ind.), and R. norvegicus (1 ind.), while PCR test for 80 ind. was positive R. argentiventer (1 ind.), R. norvegicus  (2 ind.) and R. cf exulans (1 ind.).
