Abstract. Prakoso YA, Komala R, Ginanjar M. 2018. Characteristic of hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) nesting area in Kepulauan Seribu National Park, Jakarta. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 112-116. Management coastal habitats of hawksbill turtle nesting site (Eretmochelys imbricata) needs to be done in conservation efforts from habitat damage. The aim of this study to investigate biophysical characteristics that can affect trend of turtles in choosing nesting beaches, the benefits of this study as a reference for coastal management that has the potential to become a nesting beach and a scientific information to support the conservation of hawksbill turtles. The method used in this research is survey method, by measuring and recording the biophysical condition of the nest and the environment. The data is analyzed descriptively, by looking at the relationships between parameters. The study was conducted on 21-23 July 2018, on Peteloran Timur island and the Kayu Angin Bira island. The results showed that the island with the most nesting site in the TNKpS area had physical parameters with a slope of 15-23%, beach length 421-524 m, intertidal width 5.7-8.12 m and supratidal 8.8 m, air temperature 30-31?. Air humidity 88-90%, nest depth 40-41 cm, and nest distance from tide is 2.2-9.2 m. Biological parameters are seen by looking at the composition of the coastal vegetation and fauna around the nest. On both beaches, the composition and structure of vegetation is Casuarina equisetifolia, Ischaemum muticum, and Scaevola taccada. Both islands do not have hatchlings predators. Only found animals that have potential as hatchlings predators, Ocypoda sp.
